I wrote this song on Saint Patrick's Day in 2014, I believe. I remember coming up with this after I heard The Last Shadow Puppets cover of Leonard Cohen's Memories. It's literally the same chords. I was also feeling very alienated and embodying victimhood while being goofy.

lyrics
What started off as a bet with God that life could be a game...
But that got weird and we had to lie, so who could take the blame?
The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes!
To lose control or smoke a bowl in the Desert of Disgrace?
Something always has to go and never find a place...
The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes!
I'm fishing for the reason why their treated like the Plague...
You couldn't help be a bit shadey as the one with no arms or legs:
The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes! The Snakes!
The Snakes, Snakes, Snakes... The Snakes! The Snakes!
